Snow Challenged!

Well, here we are again. The Mid-Atlantic States and many other areas of the US are being hit with nasty weather. I canceled my workshop in anticipation of the expected 12 to 18 inches of snow. Since we are stuck in the house, I thought it would be fun to have some "snow challenges." Over the next few days, I'll be posting different ideas for cards for us to make. Play along and put a comment on here and link back to your blog or post a copy of what you have done on my Facebook Fan Page. For every post (card) you get done, you'll get one entry into my random drawing for some great Close To My Heart Blog Candy. Mention in your post that you used a CTMH product and you'll receive 2 entries! I'll announce the random winner when we are dug out from the snow!

Feel free to make any of the challenges at any time as the weekend goes on. Here is your first challenge. For all of the "snow birds" that live in Florida or all of us who wish we could fly to Florida....make a card that includes a bird in it. My example...

This is a cute little 3 x 3 inch card done on Textured White Daisy Card Stock. Remember, CTMH is having that terrific promotion this month....Buy a combo pack of Textured Card Stock and receive a pack free. CTMH will also be donating $2 toward Haitian Earthquake relief! Anyway, The pattern paper is from Caboodle and the card stock mats are Sorbet and Sweet Leaf. The cute little bird and sentiment is from Love Birds. I sponged the grass and sky and edge distress the white card base.

Don't forget to post your completed "Bird" card and check back often for more "Snow Challenges." I'm looking forward to seeing all of your creations. For Now, Happy Crafting!

Cndy, This looks like fun. I was hoping to do some scrapbooking today. So I will have to make a few cards along the way to participate in your challenges. I just got this really cute bird punch that would be perfect for a card with a bird. After computer time and breakfast, I will get started. Thanks.

Ooops, forgot to tell you that the green cardstock in my bird card is CTMH, it was the olive (I think) from the Eversong Christmas pack. Thanks, Getting ready to check the Facebook page then on to the Valentine's challenge. Thanks for the fun.
